Ryan Orley is the Managing Partner at Millwell LLC. Prior to founding Millwell in 2017 as an outgrowth of O2 Investment Partners, Mr. Orley worked for Morgan Stanley, investing in both distressed debt and private equity transactions. As a member of Morgan Stanley's Special Situations Group ("SSGR"), Mr. Orley primarily worked with distressed portfolio companies in a range of industries including manufacturing, retail, and energy.
Mr. Orley holds a B.A. from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Orley has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Dalton Shaughnessy assists with Millwell's diligence and sourcing efforts. Mr. Shaughnessy was previously employed by The Carlyle Group as a member of its US Buyout group. Mr. Shaughnessy has considerable experience analyzing technology companies and implementing valuable operating improvements to Millwell's portfolio companies.
John Gruber was previously the CFO of Silbond Corporation, a leading supplier of silicic acid esters. Mr. Gruber has 13 years of public accounting experience with KPMG, where he provided accounting, auditing, tax, M&A due diligence, and business advisory services to a wide variety of clients in diverse industries and markets.
Eric Showalter is the CEO of O2SM, a custom engineered valve and flow control platform. Mr. Showalter has 20 years of die casting and machining operations experience. Mr. Showalter has considerable turnaround knowledge - under his leadership Meridian Lightweight Technologies successfully emerged from bankruptcy and grew from $250 million to $450 million in sales over a 5 year period.
Robert Person helps oversee sourcing efforts at Millwell. Mr. Person has experience identifying compelling manufacturing opportunities in the Midwestern United States, Canada, and South East Asia. Mr. Person brings knowledge of the complexities and interests inherent in family owned operating companies to Millwell.
